SEGA Europe and Gearbox Software today announced Escape mode, a new competitive multiplayer mode, for its highly anticipated blockbuster Aliens: Colonial Marines video game, launching February 12, 2013 worldwide. SEGA has released a new set of screenshots for Creative Assembly’s upcoming Total War: Rome II game. Encompassing one of the best-known periods in world history, Total War: Rome II will combine the most expansive turn-based campaign and the largest, most cinematic real-time battles yet seen in any game. Gearbox has unveiled the third episode of its behind-the-scenes videos for Aliens: Colonial Marines, in which the company’s members talk about the story and tension that will be present in this new Aliens game. Aliens: Colonial Marines is currently planned for a 2013 release on PC, X360 and PS3. Fans of the Aliens movie will be able to see places they are familiar with and according to Randy Pitchford, players who survive an aliens wave and beat them will feel really badasses. Wrath of the Dead Rabbit will be available to download in North America on September 25 for Playstation Network, September 26 on Xbox LIVE Arcade, and October 3 for PC digital download for $14.99/1200MSP/$14.99 respectively. Machinima and Gearbox have revealed the first Behind the Scenes trailer for Aliens: Colonial Marines. Aliens: Colonial Marines begins with an ostensibly abandoned ship, the U.S.S. Sulaco, recovered in orbit around LV-426. Players lead a group of highly trained United States Colonial Marines as they board the deserted craft to uncover the fate of the crew. SEGA announced today that an HD remake of the fan-favorite flying platformer, NiGHTS into dreams…, will be coming to Xbox LIVE Arcade, PlayStation Network, and Windows PC Digital Download this Fall. This new version will bring Nightopia to vivid life with improved HD graphics and a 16:9 aspect ratio, as well as added support for leaderboards, trophies, and achievements. It will also feature an optional Saturn Mode that will let players experience the game with the original graphics intact. SEGA has announced that the japanese version of Phantasy Star Online 2 will launch on July 4th.
