A team of Final Fantasy fans got together and created an amazing live action trailer for an unofficial, fan-made, movie based on Final Fantasy VI. And even though the trailer looks great, we are pretty sure that Square Enix will send Bad Pixel a C&D letter. Which is precisely why the team has not started working on the full movie. Bad Pixel wants to acquire permission from Square-Enix to run a Kickstarter Campaign, however that will most probably won’t happen anytime soon. Let’s not forget that another FF movie – based on FFVII – had a Kickstarter and Square Enix took it down. Here is hoping that the Japanese studio will give the green light to Bad Pixel, though things are not looking ideal. Still, the trailer looks good so go ahead and take a look! Square Enix announced today that Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is now available in North America. Now, players on Windows PC and the PS3 can adventure together in the first Final Fantasy title thanks to its cross-platform functionality. Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn takes place five years after the realm of Eorzea was ravaged by the unleashing of Bahamut, the most powerful of the god-like Primals. As players explore the world and learn more details in the epic storyline, they can hone their skills with the Armoury System. This unique gameplay feature allows characters to change their role, abilities, and skills on-the-fly, without having the need to create multiple characters. Square Enix unveiled today a new trailer and images for Murdered: Soul Suspect. The trailer, titled “The Witness”, is the latest in an episodic series for Murdered: Soul Suspect, a dark, supernatural detective thriller with a unique gameplay twist: solving your own murder from the afterlife. Square Enix has released the Gamescom 2013 trailer of Thief, in which the japanese publisher revealed the game’s release date. This new Thief title, that is powered by Unreal Engine 3, is scheduled for a February 25th, 2014, release on PC, PS3, X360, Xbox One and PS4. Thief is being developed by EIDOS Montreal, the studio behind the critically acclaimed Deus Ex: Human Revolution, and promises to be as a good refreshed tile (to the game’s gameplay mechanics) as Human Revolution was. Square Enix today announced the final beta test and early access dates for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. According to the press release, new users will be able to participate in the final beta test on August 17th through the 19th, both for PC and PS3, giving players the opportunity to dive in to the massive-scale RPG’s final testing phase. In addition, fans that have pre-ordered the game will receive early access and be among the first to play the game beginning August 24th.
