After watching the E3 2011 footage, we felt a bit underwhelmed about the latest adventures of Hitman. You see, one of the main concerns about the upcoming Hitman game was its gameplay direction and whether or not the stealth mechanics have been dumbed down. To make things worse, an ‘Eagle mode’ was present that felt out of place, especially for a Hitman game. If you were one of those disappointed fans, rejoice. Why? But because Hitman: Absolution will feature a hardcore stealth mode. Continue reading Hitman: Absolution will feature a hardcore, purist stealth mode→
Okay, this is simply amazing. YouTube’s member ‘Marcpapeghin’ did an amazing cover for, pretty much, every Final Fantasy VI song, arranged them together and recorded them. Contrary to other covers, this one is simply beyond words as Marc Papeghin has managed to capture the spirit of the game and used lots of instruments by himself. This is simply too good to pass by and you should definitely give it a go. This man deserves the spotlight, believe us. Alongside the video, you can also find the tracklist with the songs/tunes that were ‘covered’. Enjoy! Continue reading Amazing cover of Final Fantasy VI’s OST→
This is a great day for all Final Fantasy fans. Earlier today, we informed you about the remake – well, kind of remake – of FFVII with the Unreal Engine and here comes now the Balamp Garden from Final Fantasy VIII that is fully recreated in Minecraft. The attention to detail is astounding and the end result is jaw-dropping. This is simply art guys, so be sure to check it out. Damn, all these videos are making me wish for a proper, triple-A remake of either FFVII or FFVIII. Damn it Square Enix, it’s about time to offer us one! Now that’s simply amazing. A fan went ahead and used the Unreal Engine in order to remake one of the best RPGs from Square. Oh yeah my dear FF7 fans. Even though Square is not remaking our beloved RPG, we can now see what Final Fantasy 7 would look like with the Unreal Engine. Now keep in mind that this is a one-man project, so don’t expect polished animations and such things. As the creator stated, FFVII REMAKE has been created for two main reasons: to learn how to create a videogame and to pay tribute to one of the best RPGs ever created, which most of us love and admire. The idea is to show its 2D world in 3D in a short demo, trying to keep it as accurate and respectul as possible to the original. You can find screenshots and videos after the jump so hurry up! Epic Games announced today an agreement with Square Enix. Epic Games will be granting Square Enix a license to develop multiple games with Epic’s award-winning Unreal Engine 3 technology. Epic Games Japan, which supports the company’s licensees locally, worked directly with Square Enix on the new license. And here comes the big question; what happened to the next-generation engine that Square Enix was working on? And why won’t the giant Japanese company use the in-house engine for their games? Figures. Continue reading Square Enix Licenses Unreal Engine 3 For Multiple Games→

The much anticipated first DLC of Deus Ex: Human Revolution is finally out. Be warned though PC gamers as Nvidia hasn’t included any SLI profile for it as of yet.
