Star Citizen Alpha 3.3.5 is now available to all backers

Cloud Imperium has released Star Citizen Alpha 3.3.5 to all backers. This new alpha version adds planet Hurston which is the first planetary location and as such is considerably larger than moons and has varied biomes. Cloud Imperium Games has announced that it will make the Star Citizen Alpha free to download and play for any player to celebrate the launch of Star Citizen’s first habitable planet, Hurston. Revealed at CitizenCon 2018, on October 10, Hurston is a massive planet encompassing thousands of kilometers of playable space, with more than five distinct biomes including cityscapes, savannahs, frigid tundra’s, mountains and coastal seascapes. Star Citizen Alpha 3.3 is now available on Public Test Server to all Evocati Test Flight members

Cloud Imperium has released the highly 3.3 alpha version of Star Citizen to its Evocati Test Flight members. Back in August, Cloud Imperium claimed that it targets an October 10th release for Star Citizen Alpha 3.3 and from the looks of it the team will be able to meet this deadline. After a big backlash, CitizenCon 2018 Full Access streaming will be free to all Star Citizen members

Now here is something interesting. Cloud Imperium had announced that CitizenCon would be put behind a paywall as gamers would have to purchase an e-ticker (that would cost them $20) in order to watch the Citizencon presentation live. Chris Roberts tried to explain the reasons behind this, however – and after a big backlash – he decided to completely open the CitizenCon 2018 streaming to all Star Citizen members. Star Citizen Alpha 3.3 releases on October 10th, Chris Roberts comments on pay-to-win accusations

Cloud Imperium has announced that Star Citizen Alpha 3.3 will release on October 10th. This upcoming alpha build will be made available during the CitizenCon 2018, and Cloud Imperium has updated its future release roadmap. As such, the team now aims to release new builds in Q1 end of March, Q2 the end of June, Q3 in October with CitizenCon, and the Q4 in mid-to-late December.
