Steam’s new “Remote Play Together” feature will allow all local multiplayer games to work over the Internet

Valve has announced that it will be adding a new feature to Steam, called Remote Play Together. This feature will allow local multiplayer and co-op games to work over the Internet. As such, PC gamers will be able to play with their friends online the games that were not supporting online play previous (but obviously had support for local MP play). Windows 10, Intel and NVIDIA dominate Steam’s June 2019 Hardware & Software Survey

Steam has revealed its June 2019 hardware and software survey and as we can see, Windows 10 dominates the OS charts. Microsoft’s latest operating system has been adopted by 71% of the survey takers, leaving behind Windows 7 with 22% and Windows 8.1 with 3%. Valve has just launched Steam’s Summer Sale 2019, called Steam Grand Prix Summer Sale. From today and until July 9th, PC gamers will find a variety of PC games at great discounts. Steam’s Summer Sale 2019 ends on July 9th at 10:00AM PST, and each and every day Steam will have brand new offers/discounts for different games. Rocket League has been review bombed after announcement of Epic Store exclusivity

Another game has been tested by Steam’s new review moderation algorithm as the store page of  Rocket League succumbs to an inordinate amount of negative reviews. This follows after an article from Variety in which a public relations statement from Epic Store announced that Rocket League will become another exclusive to their client. Tim Sweeney: “If Valve commits to a permanent 88% revenue share, we’ll stop making new exclusive deals”

Now here is something really interesting. Epic Games’ CEO, Tim Sweeney, has just stated that if Steam commits to a permanent 88% revenue share for all developers and publishers without major strings attached, Epic Games will hastily organize a retreat from exclusives and consider putting its own games on Steam. Valve adds moderation to Steam after Borderlands review bombing

Since the announcement of Borderlands 3 as yet another timed exclusivity deal with the Epic Store, some players have performed mass protest by review bombing the Steam store pages of the first 2 Borderlands  games with negative reviews. Unlike previous attempts where similar protests have occured, Valve has now decided to implemented a system of review moderation to address the matter.

Former Valve dev: Steam was killing PC gaming, Epic is fixing it, 30% cut made Valve a lot of money
