I am not sure if this is a joke or not, but considering Team 6 Studios’ CEO history, I can safely assume that it isn’t. Team 6 released a new update for FlatOut 3: Chaos & Destruction that comes with tweaks and improvements for the A.I. and the damage system. What caught my eye though, was the fact that the team has decided to rename the ‘Classic Mode’ to ‘Game Speed’ because of a reviewer complaining that the game was way too fast. I’m not kidding, this is included in the official update changelog. Continue reading New Flatout 3: Chaos & Destruction Update Released; comes with a game mode rename due to a reviewer→
Oh boy, I don’t know which is worse. That someone used Ronnie Nelis name to post a user review in Metacritic or that Nelis wanted to send the police to him? Long story short, an individual trolled FlatOut 3’s Metacritic page and posted a user review by using the name of Team 6 Studios’ CEO. Ronnie Nelis found out about it, contacted Metacritic and the review was removed. So far, so good. What followed afterwards, though, caught us off guard. Okay guys, I’m puzzled here. This is the first time I’ve seen a racing game requiring such a high-end GPU. Team 6 Studios have just revealed the system requirements for their upcoming arcade racer, FlatOut 3: Chaos & Destruction. And get this right; the team recommends a GTX590 and 20GB of free hard-disk space. Just… wow. A GTX590 GPU is required? So this game should have mind-blowing graphics, right? Well, to be honest, I haven’t seen anything from FlatOut 3 that justifies such high requirements. Okay, I’m a bit shocked. A new Flatout game is coming out in a few days and noone has even heard about it? Shame on you. The third part of this racing series is developed by Team 6 Studios and will be published by Strategy First. Flatout 3: Chaos & Destruction is coming to Steam on December 13th and will be priced at 29.99 euros. This low price indicates that this will be a somewhat low-budget title, so I guess that’s why most publications didn’t really bother with it.
