Top 5 Worst Optimized PC Games Of 2014
2014 was a pretty interesting year. Watch_Dogs was finally coming out, Assassin’s Creed: Unity was planned for current-gen platforms only, The Vanishing of Ethan Carter had everyone hyped with its special techniques, a new Wolfenstein was scheduled to come out, and Dragon Age: Inquisition was aiming to put DICE’s Frostbite 3 engine into good use. And while we’ve seen a number of games hitting both old-gen and current-gen platforms, there were a few that released exclusively on current-gen platforms. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 – PC Performance Analysis
The Amazing Spider-man 2 has just been released on the PC, and it’s time to see how this new open world performs on our platform. The game has been developed by Beenox and aims to capture the combat feeling of the Batman: Arkham series, the web swinging feeling of all previous Spiderman titles, and the character upgrade system of – pretty much – most open world games. Deep inside its soul we can find an entertaining game, though the storyline is dumb, the voice acting is lame, and the animations are stiff and disappointing. Yes, 30FPS in a Spider-man game; a game in which framerate is crucial. It’s ironic but the last game locked at 30FPS I can remember was NFS: Rivals (and before that Dark Souls). And despite the fact that the game itself is not THAT demanding, Beenox (or whoever handled the PC port) decided to lock the framerate for unknown reasons.
