We’ve said a lot of times that mods can literally change the look of a game. And you do know that there are a lot of mods for Skyrim, right? Well, nothing have prepared you for the following video that showcases some pretty amazing visuals. YouTube’s member ‘MrRhexx’ used the realistic setting from cinemascope combined with the cinematic settings from cinematic ENB mod – that work wonderfully together – and captured some footage of Skyrim. The end result is unbelievable and could very well be mistaked as a CGI footage. MrRhexx also used the Daedric Reaver Armor and the footage is from a scene taken from Chronicles of a Sad Story 3. There is no doubt that Skyrim looks great. And here we are today with some new drooling images, as modders ‘gionight’ and ‘Unr3al2004’ have released some screenshots from their Skyrim custom female characters. These female models look great and showcase what can be achieved with Skyrim’s in-game toolset. Bethesda has just announced that Skyrim’s first DLC, codenamed Dawnguard, will be coming to X360 this Summer. In addition, the company has also announced that more information and details will be revealed at this year’s E3. A lot of players got confused though. Was this an X360 exclusivity that would not hit all other platforms? And why didn’t Bethesda announce it for PC and PS3? Modder ‘Hritik’ released a pretty interesting mod for Skyrim. ‘More lush and re-sized plants and grasses ML-RPG’ is a mod that comes with re-sized grasses and plants in an attempt to give a more realistic feel to the game’s forests. One of the best features of this mod is that some underwater plants come out of water (due to their increased size), which looks amazing and gives a nice detail to the game’s environments. This mod is compatible with vurts flora overhaul and the modder promised to rework the game’s trees in a newer version of this mod. You will find below some screenshots and its download link. Enjoy! As we said in our John Carmack story earlier today, Pete Hines hinted last month that we’d be getting (in April) some interesting news about both Skyrim and RAGE. Although there hasn’t been anything for RAGE, Bethesda revealed this month that Skyrim would be getting Kinect support for X360. Naturally, Skyrim fans have been waiting to hear something about the rumored DLC of Bethesda’s RPG and we are happy to report that we might get new info – and perhaps footage from it – next week. Skyrim Realistic Overhaul is – in our opinion – the best high resolution Texture Pack for Skyrim. The attention to detail is amazing and the quality of its textures is unmatched. Modder ‘Starac’ has released a new update for it that adds some missing normal maps and comes with new various new textures.
