The Witcher 3 Gets A CGI Trailer, Dark Souls II Gets A Teaser Trailer

CD Projekt RED has released a CGI, cinematic, trailer for its upcoming RPG, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, offering a thrilling glimpse into the morally ambiguous universe of Geralt of Rivia. Namco, on the other hand, revealed a teaser trailer for the Knight hero of Dark Souls II who was exploring dark pits and fighting dragons in the previous trailer. During their SIGGRAPH 2013 talk, CD Projekt RED’s Balazs Torok and Krzysztof Krzyscin unveiled some new interesting information about RED Engine; the engine powering The Witcher 2 and CDPR’s upcoming RPG, The Witcher 3. According to the developers, this engine was originally meant to be used in The Witcher 3 as the game was planned ahead already, however CDPR decided to take advantage of it with The Witcher 2. And it’s that time of the week again. Although CD Projekt RED has not revealed any new information about The Witcher 3, the Polish company has released a new concept art for it that can be viewed below. What’s really surprising here is that the game’s visuals come really close to that piece of concept art, so kudos to CDPR’s artists (at least the overall atmosphere is similar). CD Projekt RED has released the main theme for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. The theme was composed by Adam Skorupa and Krzysztof Wierzynkiewicz and you can download it from the links after the jump. Ah, CD Projekt RED. Such an ‘old-school’ company. Well, you gotta admit that the Polish studio has struggled to build a healthy fan base these past years; a fan base that got worried when the team revealed its multi-platform plans for The Witcher 3. CD Projekt RED has released a new batch of screenshots for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. These new images showcase the gorgeous wolves with their PhysX fur, the game’s sandbox environments, and the high-resolution textures that have been used. The Witcher 3 looks gorgeous and we can’t wait to get our hands on it. Here is hoping that CDPR will release a walkthrough video from the demo version that was presented in E3. Enjoy! The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – New PC Graphics Effects Detailed

As you already know, Nvidia showcased CD Projekt RED’s upcoming The Witcher game during its E3 press conference. MaximumPC was able to capture a video that showcased most – if not all – of the new graphical settings that will be supported by The Witcher 3, and you can view the video below. The Witcher 3 will support a new renderer, bloom shafts, aerial perspective fog, volume based translucency, semi volumetric clouds, fur simulation (via Nvidia’s PhysX), flexible water simulation (as well as tessellated water), forward lit soft particles, screen space decals and real-time reflections.
