We’ve all been wondering what next-gen consoles will bring to the table, and according to CD Projekt RED, these new consoles will be more powerful than we initially thought. According to CD Projekt RED’s MD and studio head Adam Badowski next-gen consoles will most probably unify requirements, meaning that all versions will look really close to each other. Badowski confirmed that PC allows for more at the moment, however new platforms are stepping up and will – most probably – unify requirements for future games.
Our friends over at PCGamesHardware have revealed some interesting new, tech, information about the third part of the ‘The Witcher’ series. According to PCGH, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will support Nvidia’s PhysX technology, as well as DX11 features such as tessellation, Global Illumination and MSAA. According to the company, these shots are from an early build of the game and – ironically – looks better than most current triple-A titles. It’s no secret that CD Projekt RED is one of the most beloved PC developers out there. And while we are anxiously waiting for both The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk, CDPR revealed that the PC version of The Witcher 3 will be the definitive version of it. Yes, The Witcher 3 is announced for next-generation consoles and PC, and from this comment we can be sure that CDPR is developing primary on the PC and will be porting its title to consoles after the completion of the PC version. Expect to hear more about both Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3 as these two titles may change everything we know about PC games. CD Projekt RED’s CEO was interviewed by TVN CNBC and revealed that the trailer of Cyberpunk 2077 represents the level of in-game graphics that they’re aiming for. Now this could obviously mean two things: a) the visual style of the game will be similar to the trailer and b) that the overall quality of the graphics will be pretty close to the CG.
