STALKER fans are certainly pleased with the fact that STALKER 2 is still in development, however they won’t be able to enjoy this title in 2012. As GSC GameWorld revealed via their Twitter account, there is currently no release date for STALKER 2 and they are afraid that it won’t come out in 2012. This comes as no surprise as we haven’t heard anything about this title and it could very well be in an early, alpha phase. Continue reading STALKER 2 won’t be released in 2012→

Okay STALKER 2 fans, here is something that might make you happy and start jumping around your room. GSC GameWorld has tweeted that we’ll get some official news in mid January and that “there is cause for hope”. Which basically translates to “Hey, there is a chance we might not close and STALKER 2 might not get cancelled”. Make no mistake though. Yeah, it seems that there is light at the end of GSC’s tunnel but for all we know, this message could be GSC’s attempt at damage control, so hold your horses. For now at least. The OGSE Team sent us word about a crucial feature that will be implemented in the next version of their OGSE Mod. OGSE 0.6.9.3 will feature improved light sources on static render, which basically means that most of the point light-sources such as lamps, will have “real” lighting on R1 (static) render mode. According to the team, this was accomplished by “adjusting light-source properties in game SDK” and what’s more interesting, is that these light sources will be breakable. Now this is great and we are overly excited about it. There is a lot of potential here and Obsidian could attone for their previous sins with such a game. However, we fear that this new game is doomed to fail. Why? Well keep reading to find out! Continue reading Why the new South-Park RPG is doomed to fail→
Saints Row: The Third is out now, and it’s time to see how this bad boy performs with a modern-day PC. Volition has stated that this is not a console port and although that might be true, we are really puzzled with its abnormal performance. We’re pretty sure that AMD/ATI will obviously know that it is a technical mess. This performance analysis, however, shows that Nvidia users will also encounter various issues with this game, especially if they want to run it in SLI mode. Call us impressed but Volition has just announced that they are working on a patch for the PC version of Saints Row: The Third. Even though the company hasn’t released any changelog or an ETA, we do know that this patch will feature further optimization and better performance. Sounds great, right? You bet as Red Faction: Armageddon was not supported at all by the very same studio after its initial release. Hell, there isn’t even any SLI profile for it as of yet. So kudos to Volition for properly supporting their latest game. Continue reading Saints Row: The Third PC; Volition is working on a performance patch→
