Tripwire has released a new trailer for Red Orchestra 2: Rising Storm. Rising Storm started as a Tripwire-sponsored mod for RO2, but has now made the leap to become a commercial expansion. Players of Rising Storm will be able to access both Rising Storm and RO2 maps from the same server browser. This footage was first shown at GamesCom in Cologne recently. In the video, the producer of Rising Storm, Tony Gillham, explains some of the new features that the expansion is going to introduce, such as booby traps, spawn bunkers and banzai charges for the Japanese forces. On the US side, we also see the flamethrower, a great weapon for clearing out bunkers. Enjoy! Continue reading Red Orchestra 2: Rising Storm – GamesCom 2012 Trailer→

You know what? I quite like Red Orchestra 2. Sure some might say that it was bugged to death when it got released but right now, the game is functional, runs great (no slowdowns with our Q9650 @ 4.2Ghz with GTX295), and is greatly supported from Tripwire. Yeah, it’s not as awesome as its first part but this does not mean that it is a bad game. What was that? The bleeding system that was introduced got on your nerves? Well, get ready because Tripwire is preparing a new, ‘RO classic’ mode that will be similar to the old style of Red Orchestra and there won’t be any bleeding. Oh yeah.
