Far Cry 4 – PC Patch 1.8.0 Now Available, Adds Custom Map Co-Op Support
Ubisoft has released a new update for the PC version of Far Cry 4. According to its release notes, this update allows all custom-made maps to be playable in co-op and in single player mode. In addition, this patch fixes a number of issues, fixes various checkpoint placement issues, and integrates Outpost Master in Co-Op. G2A & Kinguin Issue Official Statements About Ubisoft’s Decision To Deactivate Their Keys From UPLAY
After Ubisoft’s decision to deactivate some Far Cry 4 keys from UPLAY – that were bought from unauthorized retailers – G2A and Kinguin went ahead and issued a statement regarding this issue. According to both of them, Ubisoft is to be blamed. And while Kinguin did not promise any compensation, G2A stated that those who purchased their keys via G2A’s Shield program will certainly get one. Watch_Dogs – Modders Partially Enable Parallax Occlusion Mapping, Still A WIP Project
Our reader ‘Dirty Dan’ has shared with us an image, showing parallax occlusion mapping being used in Watch_Dogs. In case you didn’t know, POM was used in a number of screenshots prior to the game’s release, but was disabled in the final version. Dirty Dan was able to partially re-enable it, though as he told us this is still a premature attempt. It will be interesting to see whether this effect will be properly re-enabled but until then, enjoy the following image showing this feature in full effect.
