As we’ve said in our Performance Analysis, there are some low-res textures included in the PC version of Splinter Cell: Blacklist. And that’s precisely why we can rely on SweetFX in order to improve the game’s IQ. Below you can find a comparison between two of our SweetFX settings. The first one is with subtle sharpening (and various tweaks to its mid-tones, shadows, saturation, curves levels and contrast) while the second one – the one we currently prefer and looks similar to what CDPR is doing with The Witcher 3 – has more sharpening. Splinter Cell: Blacklist has just been released, so it’s time to see whether Ubisoft has learner its lesson with Assassin’s Creed III PC or not. And we are happy to report that Blacklist performs better than most triple-A titles. Truth be told, the game is based on Unreal Engine 2.5 (yeah, you read that right. It’s not even UE3). However, Ubisoft has managed to optimize its title better than any other title and as a result of that, we finally see a performance difference between tri-cores and quad-cores. To be honest, Blacklist may be one of the few games – at this point – that benefits from quad-core CPUs, so kudos to the French company. Ubisoft has released an official live-action trailer for Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. Although this trailer is of high quality, it is not as epic – at least in our opinion – as the live-action trailer of Assassin’s Creed III. Still, it’s good to see such trailers, so go ahead and give it a go. Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag is currently planned for a November 1st release on WiiU, PS3 and X360. The game will also hit PC, PS4 and Xbox One at a later date! Continue reading Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag Gets An Official Live-Action Trailer→

And it was bound to happen. Ubisoft has just announced that Tom Clancy’s The Division will be coming to the PC. The Division is being developed by Massive Entertainment and promises to be one of the best looking MP focused titles. And to be honest, it was only natural to see The Division on our platform. Let’s not forget that Massive Entertainment was behind some great PC games such as Ground Control and World In Conflict. No ETA has been given as of yet, but Massive Entertainment claimed that it will be offering a proper PC version. Enjoy the announcement video below, as well as a new game trailer! Continue reading Tom Clancy’s The Division Is Officially Coming To The PC→
Ubisoft and IGN have released a new video for Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, in which director Ashraf Ismail shows off some stealth assassinations. There are some awkward situations but overall, AC4 feels like a mix between Splinter Cell and Assassin’s Creed. But then again, the same can be said about Splinter Cell: Blacklist (with Sam’s new parkour moves). Oh, and once again the AI feels a bit underwhelming. I mean, why didn’t the enemy run off when Edward stole his weapon? Was he that certain that he would win with his fists when a couple of seconds ago he lost his weapon? Oh well… can’t have everything I guess. You can view the video after the jump! Continue reading Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag – Stealth Experience Walkthrough→
Ubisoft has released a new trailer for Watch Dogs, showcasing what players will be able to do with Aiden’s hacking capabilities. It does look good visually – don’t expect underwhelming visuals like those featured in the Aisha trailer – so make sure to give it a go. In Watch Dogs, players will be immersed in a living, breathing and fully connected recreation of Chicago. The game is currently scheduled for a November release on PC, X360, PS3 and WiiU. Enjoy!
