Splinter Cell: Blacklist – PC Features Detailed + New Footage

Splinter Cell: Blacklist’ producer Andy Wilson has revealed some new tech details about the PC version of Ubisoft’s upcoming action/stealth third person title. According to Wilson, the PC version of Splinter Cell: Blacklist will support both DX9 and DX11. PC gamers can expect horizon based ambient occlusion, TXAA, high resolution shadows, and parallax mapping. In addition, Blacklist will support specific DX11 features, such as tessellation. Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag – PC Version To Be Delayed A Few Weeks

Well, Ubisoft is at it again. BehindGames has just reported that the PC version of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag will be released a few weeks after the release of the one for current-gen consoles. The game was initially planned for a simultaneously release on X360, PS3 and PC, however during this year’s E3, Ashraf Ismail (creative director of the game) confirmed that the PC version won’t be released on November 1st. It seems that Ubisoft wants to promote a possible PC version of The Division in a really clever way. During this year’s E3, the French company announced that this great looking game would be coming on XBOne and PS4. Even though it did not rule out other platforms for a future release, the company stated that it was currently focused on the console versions. MaximumPC has also captured the gameplay walkthrough demo of Splinter Cell: Blacklist PC that was showcased during Nvidia’s E3 press event, and the first thing you will immediately notice is its smoothness. We don’t know the specs of the PC that was used to demo Splinter Cell: Blacklist, however we do know that the game will take advantage of the DX11 API. Ubisoft has released a new update for the PC version of Call of Juarez: Gunslinger. According to its changelog, this patch adds some new settings in video.scr file, displays extra directional arrows next to action keys during Quick Time Events sequences when played on mouse/keyboard and allows quick access to users’ profiles directly from any leaderboard menu. Ubisoft has released a new trailer for Splinter Cell: Blacklist. According to its description, a group of terrorists calling themselves The Engineers have had enough of US military occupation all over the world and initiate a terror ultimatum called the Blacklist – a deadly countdown of escalating attacks on U.S. interests. When the nation is threatened, the president turns to one man and one man only: Sam Fisher. Splinter Cell: Blacklist is scheduled for an August 20th release on PC, PS3 and X360. Enjoy! During Sony’s conference, Ubisoft presented a new gameplay footage for Watch Dogs. In Watch Dogs, players take the role of Aiden Pearce, a brilliant hacker and former thug, whose criminal past led to a violent family tragedy. Now on the hunt for those who hurt his family, players will be able to monitor and hack all who surround you by manipulating everything connected to the city’s network. And E3 is about to begin everyone. We expect to see some truly amazing things today (yes yes, even PC gamers should be excited) so make sure to watch some – if not all of them. Naturally, we’ll be bringing you news and videos from a lot of titles during these days, however you can use this post to discuss about Microsoft’s, Sony’s, EA’s and Ubisoft’s conferences.
