I have to give my thanks to Sid Spyker for bringing this to my attention. In Gamespy’s latest coverage of Assassin’s Creed 3, Creative Director Alex Hutchinson said that he doesn’t see Ubisoft investing hugely in a mouse and keyboard setup. Hutchinson thinks that if you want to play on PC and you want to play Assassin’s Creed, you’ ll definitely need a controller. My guess is that this recommendation is mainly to the complaints of a lot PC gamers for both Assassin’s Creed 1&2 (as well as Revelations). Ubisoft and Blue Byte have released a huge update for their strategy game, Anno 2070, as well as 3 new DLCs. These DLCs are the Central Statistical Package, Crisis Response Package and Distrust Series Package and include new buildings, missions and skins for the game. Moreover, the update that got released features a number of fixes, additions and improvements. Some pretty interesting details about Assassin’s Creed 3 got revealed today. First and foremost, Ubisoft wants to create Assassin’s Creed 3.5 and not just 3.0. That’s exactly what Ubisoft’s Creative Director Alex Hutchinson said while unveiling the game to the press. Neogaf’s user ‘keltickennedy’ has posted some new screenshots from Assassin’s Creed 3. These shots are super-sampled to death and you can’t possibly expect to play this game with this kind of fidelity. Well, that’s if you don’t own a GTX680 (or two of them in SLI) that can push this kind of AA level without any performance issues. And no console fans, these are not the graphics that will be displayed on your X360 or your PS3. You can easily call them bullshots due to the insane amount of SSAA but on the other hand, they do feature in-game assets. So go ahead and take a look at them. Ubisoft has just released a new gameplay trailer for Far Cry 3. With Far Cry 3, players step into the shoes of Jason Brody, a man alone at the edge of the world, stranded on a mysterious tropical island. Ubisoft has just revealed the debut trailer of Assassin’s Creed III. According to the company, this is in-engine footage, meaning that it’s not CG or anything like that. This is probably the image fidelity we’ll get, although the camera angles will obviously be different. The latest issue of the GameInformer magazine came out and with it, we got some new details about Ubisoft’s upcoming Assassin’s Creed title. According to the magazine, Assassin’s Creed III will use a new game engine that will sport lots of NPCs simultaneously on screen, along with highly detailed face close-ups. Players will take the role of a new hero called Connor/Ratohnhake:ton, who has an English father and a Native American mother.
