Ubisoft and Blue Byte have released a new update for their acclaimed strategy game, Anno 2070. This update will be auto-downloaded next time you start the Steam client and comes with improvements to both the game’s Military balance and its Multiplayer stability, as well as various fixes, additions and improvements. A lot of PC gamers were jumping up and down when Ubisoft announced that Rayman Origins would hit the PC and its retail version would be DRM-free. But what about its digital versions? Well, the news are not as good as you’d hope to as Rayman Origins PC Digital will use TAGES-SolidShield. That is suggested by both Impulse and GamersGate and was confirmed by Ubisoft themselves, so get ready for that annoying ‘5 machine activation’ limit. Ubisoft has released a new trailer for their action tactical third person shooter game, Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, which shows off the game’s Single Player campaign mode. Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Future Soldier will launch in the UK on May 25, 2012. The game will be available for X360 and PS3, and for Windows PC at a later date. Alongside Assassin’s Creed: Revelations’ new, Mediterranean DLC, Ubisoft has released the 1.02 patch for the PC version of the game. This patch was released yesterday for the retail version and is available from here. Steam users had to wait a little bit longer but thankfully, this new update is now available for them too. Naturally, Steam will download along with its DLC, meaning that you will see a 3GB download of Assassin’s Creed: Revelations the next time you start the Steam client. Just WOW. I’ve been following this mess with Anno 2070, but… you know… I thought that Ubi would sort it out. Shockingly, the company have given the ‘finger’ to Guru3D and pretty much every gaming site that wants to benchmark their title, stating that Anno 2070 is restricted to only 3 hardware changes and that there is no way to bypass this feature.
