Call us unimpressed with Battlefield 3’s success. Although its single player is a COD ‘clopycat’, its multiplayer is really addictive and that’s its biggest feature. Battles are intense and quite frankly, there is nothing out there that comes close to Battlefield 3 oh, and I suck as a pilot… jets are not for me after all. Regarding the retail sales, we can also see that Stronghold 3 has managed to gain a place, whereas iD Software’s RAGE has lost three places and can be spotted at the end of the chart. Well, it was to be expected as Football Manager 2011 has always been at the top places of UK’s Top10 PC Retail charts. So it’s only natural to see its 2012 version getting at the first place, right? What was a bit unexpected though was the fact that Football Manager 2012 has managed to gain the first place and in Steam’s digital charts. Ironically, a lot of people have been wondering if there is a crowd for such games. Well guys, according to the game’s sales there is definitely one and it’s quite big. Nothing seems to be able to top RAGE, although iD Software’s little gem has some technical issues and PC gamers have been constantly complaining about its visuals. RAGE is still at the top place of the PC retail and digital Steam charts which is a good sign for the game’s sales. Regarding now the retail charts, Might & Magic: Heroes IV can be found as a new entry in the second place of the retail charts, while PES 2012 is in the fifth place – two places above EA Sports’ Fifa 12. Great news for iD Software as RAGE has managed to sit on the first place of both the digital and the retail sales. The Sims 3 remained at the second place, whereas Fifa 12 lost two places. Still, it’s nice to see a sports title at the Top 5 and should prove to EA Sports that PC gamers can appreciate a next-generation and polished sports title. F1 2011 on the other hand has managed to win six places, while Starcraft 2 has re-entered the retail charts. Dead Island seems to still be the top choice of PC gamers, as it managed to remain at the first place of Steam’s weekly charts. F1 2011 that was released this week can be spotted at the third place, while Fallout: New Vegas’ latest DLC is at the second place. On the other hand, both Red Orchestra 2 and Deus Ex: Human Revolution lost four and three places respectively and Warhammer 40K: Space Marine – that was at the third place in the previous charts – is nowhere to be found. Dead Island and Warhammer 40K: Space Marine were two of the most highly anticipated games of this month so it’s only natural to see them at the top places of both UK’s PC Retail and Steam’s charts. Deus Ex: Human Revolution is going strong at the third place in Steam but lost more places in the UK as The Sims surpassed it. In a shocking turn of events, Dawn of War II: Retribution has managed to gain 10 places and is now at the Top10, whereas Portal 2 lost 9 places. You can view the entire charts after the jump. Another week, another PC charts sales figures and as you may have guessed, Deus Ex: Human Revolution has really crashed every other competition. Yeap, Human Revolution has even managed to top the “The Sims 3” series in UK. Now the big question is how long will it stay at the top place as we already know that retail sales are not its highest revenue. We are also pleased with the return of Portal 2 and the fact that The Witcher 2 is still in the Top10. Steam sales on the other hand show a completely different face with Red Orchestra 2 entering its digital Top 10 chart. Strangely enough, Modern Warfare 3 is nowhere to be found this week. Enjoy the charts after the jump. Continue reading Weekly Top 10 PC Charts; UK PC Retail and Steam Digital Charts [August 21th – August 27st]→
