In the past we’ve seen some amazing fan-made films that were based on videogames – and particularly on Half-Life 2. Singularity Collapse is one of them and perhaps the best we’ve ever seen so far. Contrary to all other fan-made movies, this one is shot completely in the first-person perspective and features some amazing effects. Don’t expect to see Gordon Freeman though, as the movie is based on City 17’s rebel forces. Oh and that buggy scene looks great. Be sure to check it out after the jump. Valve has picked up and released the winning maps of their Summer Mapping Initiative contest. According to the company, more than 280 maps were submitted. 13 judges played and voted them. Valve’s puzzle game, Portal 2, has managed to sell over three million copies. That is according to Gabe Newell himself, as Valve’s managing director has said so during his keynote today at the “Games for Change” festival. Additionally, and in an attempt to showcase Portal 2’s value, Newell showed off a video.
