Digital Extremes has released a new trailer for its free-t0-play third person title, Warframe, showcasing the PhysX effects that have been introduced to it. Nvidia owners will enjoy some new particle effects, though we have to say that we were not impressed with what Digital Extremes added. After all, we’ve seen these particular effects in both Hawken and Planetside 2, so there is nothing new or extraordinary here. Digital Extremes has informed us about a new update for its free-to-play third-person title, Warframe, that is currently available to all beta testers. This update adds a new environment, meaning that players will take on enemies on the new Grineer Asteroid Base. YouTube’s member ‘ChronicExe’ has uploaded the first gameplay footage from Warframe, Digital Extremes’ upcoming futuristic free-to-play third person shooter. Warframe is powered by the Evolution Engine (despite the user talking about CryEngine 3) and is supposedly supporting DX11 features. It looks bloody gorgeous and could very well be the best – visually – free-to-play title to this date. Question now is whether Digital Extremes will be able to implement lots of modes and features in order to keep players interested to it. The game is currently in closed beta phase. Enjoy! Get ready everyone because this is what a lot of you have been waiting for. Digital Extremes has just informed us about the beginning of the Warframe Closed Beta, meaning that the new Free-to-play, sci-fi action game – from the developers behind Unreal, Dark Sector and The Darkness II – is now in its testing phase.
