Warner Bros and Snowblind Studios announced today that The Lord of the Rings: War in the North will launch in the UK in November, 2011 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Games for Windows. The game’s Collector’s Edition, featuring behind-the-scenes looks at the game development, a specially crafted art book, digital download content and more, will also launch in November.

As the press release reads, in the face of an ancient evil rising from the shadows, players will form the beginnings of a Fellowship vital to the continued defence of Middle-earth. NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros revealed that the purple ninja – who made his debut in Mortal Kombat Trilogy – will hit both PSN and Xbox Live on July 19th. As you’d expect, Rain will use lighting bolts, water-bubbles and rain tricks to fight his enemies. The DLC will cost 400 MS Points or £3.19. How can someone start an article about F.E.A.R. 3 and not mention its origins? Few years ago when I was younger, had more hair and was full of ideas and dreams, a new FPS caught my eye. It was F.E.A.R, an FPS that was developed by the talented Monolith team – the same studio that was behind some incredible games like Shogo, No One Lives Forever, Blood and Tron 2.0. F.E.A.R. was meant to be one of the best horror-themed first-person shooters and featured amazing AI, great fire-fights, engrossing story and mind-blowing graphics.
