How can someone start an article about F.E.A.R. 3 and not mention its origins? Few years ago when I was younger, had more hair and was full of ideas and dreams, a new FPS caught my eye. It was F.E.A.R, an FPS that was developed by the talented Monolith team – the same studio that was behind some incredible games like Shogo, No One Lives Forever, Blood and Tron 2.0. F.E.A.R. was meant to be one of the best horror-themed first-person shooters and featured amazing AI, great fire-fights, engrossing story and mind-blowing graphics. It’s a fact that the PC version of Day 1 Studios’ latest FPS title was plagued by a weird stuttering effect when the game was running at a really high framerate. And since it really pissed off most PC gamers, the company decided to release a patch to fix it and offer – among other things – an option to adjust your FOV and support for wider than 16×9 aspect ratio displays. Warner Bros released today a vignette character trailer for their latest DLC. As you may already know, this second DLC will feature Kenshi, the blind swordsman that debuted on Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance. This trailer explains how Kenshi came to lose his sight and develop his extraordinary senses. Warner Bros released today the final box art of Batman: Arkham City. This much anticipated third-person game is slated for an October 21st release on X360, PC and PS3. Batman: Arkham City features a brand-new story that draws together a new, all-star cast of classic characters and murderous villains. Warner Bros announced that their the award-winning Action-RPG, Bastion, will lead Microsoft’s Summer of Arcade on Xbox Live. The game will be released on July 20th, is priced at 1200 Microsoft Points and will be the first title to be released for the Microsoft Summer of Arcade lineup.
