And they have finally made it. Wasteland 2’s Kickstarter campaign has reached $2.1 million USD, meaning that Planescape Torment’s developer and Obsidian’s Chief Creative Officer, Chris Avellone, will help inXile in developing the game. inXile Entertainment has revealed some new details about their future plans for Wasteland 2. According to a recent update in their Kickstarter page, the developers will bring some new designer to help them if they hit the $2.5 million goal. inXile has announced that they have reached an agreement with Obsidian for potential design assistance for Wasteland 2. Following Double Fine’s example, inXile Entertainment has started a kickstarter for a sequel to Wasteland. Wasteland 2 will the direct sequel to the first ever post-apocalyptic computer RPG. The project will be headed by Brian Fago who was an Executive Produced for both Wasteland and Fallout. In order to become a reality, the team wanted to hit $900K bucks until April 17th. Well, they managed to hit – and surpass – that mark in just two days, meaning that Wasteland 2 will become a reality.
