It’s really sad that Black Bean’s and Milestone’s rally racing game has passed under our radar. Somehow though, it’s natural since we’ve been preparing for a hot November and December. However, WRC 2: The Game is a game that will definitely please all rally racing fans. Yeah, this is not Richard Burns Rally but it’s as good as last year’s offer, albeit a little more polished. The driving and physics mechanics are a perfect blend between arcade and sim and far greater than those of the Dirt series. So, here is a video from the Rally d’Italia Sardegna stage that will give you an idea of what WRC 2: The Game is all about. We should note however that the footage is captured in 30fps, so expect it to run smoother and ‘quicker’ in your PC gaming systems. Enjoy! Black Bean has just released a day-one patch for their latest rally racing game, WRC 2: The Official Game. This patch is 12MB in size and fixes some issues that most PC gamers were facing. Most importantly though is that this patch addresses the crashes that were occuring during the characters’ customization in “The Road to the WRC” game mode. Contrary to most gamers, we’ve enjoyed last year’s WRC official game that was developed by Milestone, the studio behind the Superbike World Championship and the legendary Screamer series. The company released yesterday a new trailer for the pending release of WRC 2 which is due to hit the shelves this Friday the 14. Continue reading WRC 2 – Special Stages Trailer→

Black Bean has just released the debut trailer of their upcoming rally game, WRC 2. WRC was one of my favourite rally games and although it was not on par with RBR, it was a good alternative and way better than the Dirt series. WRC 2 seems more polished and the company has also released four new screenshots for it, though we can’t help but notice that annoying sepia filter. Let’s hope that there will be an option to remove it. WRC 2 is being developed by Milestone and will be published exclusively by Black Bean Games for PlayStation 3, Xbox360 and PC and is due for release in October. WRC – also known as WRC2010 – was one of the best blends between arcade and sim rally racing. Although it wasn’t as polished as Codies’ racers and featured really short and repetitive stages, it had a lot of potential. And we are thankful that Milestone decided to develop its sequel. So rally fans, get ready for it as WRC 2 is coming to current generation consoles and PC this October and will be published by Ubisoft. Continue reading WRC 2 Release Date Announced→
