YouTube’s member ‘nfsking2000’ has created an interesting tribute to rally games, in which we get to see the actual evolution of this genre from its MS-DOS days to its current-gen ones. The only downside we found in this video is that some games were not captured on max settings or the captured video does not make justice to those games. For example, Sega Rally Championship 2 looks way better than what is being shown here. Apart from that, this tribute is great, so go ahead and take a look at it! ECSimHardware has released a mod that is said to improve the physics engine of Milestone’s rally racing game, WRC 3. And since there are no plans for a new RBR game, this is as close as we can come to a modern-day Richard Burns Rally title. Truth be told, cars feel a bit ‘floaty’ with this mod but apart from this nitpick, all car physics have been overhauled and are way better than those of WRC 3 vanilla. Milestone has released a new gameplay footage for its upcoming rally racing game, WRC 3. This gameplay video feels a bit awkward, as the car seems to behave almost idenctical to those of WRC 2. Yeah, we were expecting for something more than that. Truth be told, graphics have been overhauled but this title cannot come close to what Slightly Mad Studios has achieved with Project CARS. Still, it looks interesting since we haven’t gotten a rally racing game for quite a while, though this is definitely not the rally racing game that will top Richard Burns Rally in terms of physics and car behavior. WRC 3 is slated for an October release. Enjoy! Continue reading WRC 3 – Argentina Rally Stage Gameplay→
Milestone has released a new gameplay trailer for WRC 3, showcasing the Vodafone Rally De Portugal stage. To be honest, this new footage of WRC 3 did not impress us as the behind-the-car camera needs further improvements. It’s better than the one that was featured in the previous games but still, it feels a bit awkward. Nevertheless, it has better visuals than its predecessors and according to the company, the sounds in this footage are not final. Graphical details/improvements will be also added in the final build of the game. WRC 3 is currently planned for an October release on PC, X360 and PS3. Enjoy!
