Epic Games announced today that it has licensed Unreal Engine 4 to YAGER. Under the agreement, the Berlin-based developer will utilize Epic’s groundbreaking tools to craft a major next-generation title to be unveiled in the coming months. We should also note that YAGER will be the first independent studio in Europe to license the technology, so kudos to the creators of Spec Ops: The Line for that. 2K Games’ third-person shooter has been released alongside Ubisoft’s latest iteration of the Ghost Recon series, and here we are today with a Performance Analysis for it. Spec Ops: The Line follows Future Soldier’s example and is rather friendly to casual gamers and is straying away from its roots. Instead of a tactical game, we got ourselves a third-person action game in which the player can give simple, typical orders to its group. Quite frankly, if you’ve been a fan of the first Spec Ops games, you’ll be disappointed by this one. However, keep an open mind because as a third-person action game, Spec Ops: The Line is actually great, tells a compelling story, and performs amazingly on a variety of PC configurations. 2K Games has released the launch trailer of their third person squad-based game, Spec Ops: The Line. The squad-based action in Spec Ops: The Line is highlighted by an intelligent squad command system that allows players to tactfully take out insurgents as they advance into the heart of Dubai. As promised, 2K Games and Yager have released the PC demo of Spec Ops: The Line. The PC demo is 2GB in size and can be downloaded from Steam. Players that download the demo will be introduced to the brutal action and combat of Spec Ops: The Line. The single-player narrative unfolds within Dubai after a series of cataclysmic sandstorms cut the city off from the rest of the world. Playing as Captain Martin Walker, gamers add to the city’s destruction by engaging in action-packed firefights as they search for Colonel John Konrad and his missing battalion, The Damned 33rd. As promised, the demo comes to our beloved platform before the official release of its retail/digital final version that is currently slated for June 29th.
