16 minutes of gameplay from Hardsuit Labs’ canceled Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2

YouTube’s ‘Fernando Euphoria’ has shared a video, showcasing 16 minutes of gameplay from the canceled version of Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2. This video will give you an idea of what the game looked like in its pre-alpha state. So, if you are a fan of the series, you should definitely check it out.

For those unaware, Hardsuit Labs was working on Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 from 2019 to 2021. In February 2021, Paradox Interactive revealed that it had switched developers. As such, TheChineseRoom is now behind this project.

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 was in development hell during that period. Its first delay came in October 2019. Then, in August 2020, Paradox announced a new delay and release date.

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is a first-person role-playing game where players step into the world of vampires. Players will get to experience life as a vampire in a dark, mysterious city full of interesting characters. Your choices will also have an impact on the game story. Or at least that’s what the devs claim. Moreover, you will explore visceral, immersive combat that rewards entirely different playstyles and approaches based on your choice of vampire clan.

The game will now be powered by Unreal Engine 5, and promises to be better than the following pre-alpha video. Still, as I said, some VTMB fans may be interested in this old gameplay footage.

It’s also worth noting that although the game will use UE5, it won’t be exclusive to Epic Games Store. There is already a Steam store page for it. So, fingers crossed it will come out simultaneously on both Steam and EGS.

Paradox Interactive plans to release Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 in the first half of 2025. That’s another delay as the game was previously targeting a Fall 2024 release.

Enjoy and stay tuned for more!
