Until Dawn Remake feature

3 hours of leaked gameplay footage from Until Dawn Remake

TwitchTV member ‘Nikolai7PT’ got access to an early copy of Until Dawn Remake, and shared almost 3 hours of gameplay footage from it. This video will give you an idea of what this remake is all about. So, make sure to watch it if you are interested in it.

Until Dawn will be now powered by Unreal Engine 5. Ballistic Moon has updated the character models, environments, interactable props, visual effects, and animations. Moreover, the game will support Ray Tracing effects. To be more precise, the devs have used RT to enhance the game’s reflections, ambient occlusion and shadows. There will be also support for DLSS 3 and FSR 3.0. The PC version will also have uncapped framerates, and support for ultra-wide PC monitors.

Although this will be a faithful remake, Ballistic has made some changes. For instance, they have extended the Prologue. The devs have given the Washington family more screen time to show their close bond and help players get to know them better. They’ve also changed some of the original scenes and added more details to explain the famous prank.

Sony will release the Until Dawn Remake for PC on October 4th. To play the game, you will need a PSN account, even though it’s a single-player game. You can also check its PC requirements here.

From what I’ve seen, the game won’t be using Denuvo. As such, it will be cracked the moment it gets out. And yes, the pirated version will also bypass the PSN account requirement.

My guess is that we might see a mod that removes the PSN account requirement. Speaking of which, the PSN account removal mod for God of War: Ragnarok is once again available on NexusMods. You can download it from this link.

Finally, Sony has not provided us with a PC review code. However, I’ve already purchased the game so we’ll share our initial PC performance improvements when it comes out. So, stay tuned for more.

Enjoy!
