At Gamescom 2019, Microsoft showcased the PC version of Gears 5. Gears 5 promises to be a really polished product and IGN has shared a video, showing 7 minutes of gameplay footage from it. The game was running in 4K and with 60fps, although we don’t know the specs of the system that was running it.
This video showcases the game’s Horde Mode with Sarah Connor from its The Terminator: Dark Fate character pack. Naturally, it features proper on-screen keyboard and mouse indicators. Moreover, it will give you an idea of how the PC version looks.
Gears 5’s Horde is a wave-based cooperative survival mode. In this mode, players will have to survive. This improved mode promises to force players to capture new ground and be more aggressive. Moreover, it will feature hero-shooter-lite mechanics.
The Coalition will also introduce Ultimate abilities to the Horde Mode. According to the developers, Ultimates will give each playable character his/her own special powers. In addition, they will add abilities such as the option to call in an airstrike, to see through walls, or to cloak yourself to hide from Locust enemies.
Gears 5 releases on September 10th.
Enjoy!
