Batman: Arkham Knight came out more than four years ago and it has aged quite well. The game takes advantage of a custom version of Unreal Engine 3, and looks amazing even to this date. YouTube’s member ‘SliM420 GaMing’ has shared a video, showing the game with Pascal Gilcher’s Ray Tracing Reshade mod.
Unfortunately, SliM420 GaMing has not provided any before/after comparison sequences, and has not revealed the Reshade settings. My guess is that a new comparison video may come out at a later date, similar to the Call of Duty: World at War comparison video (which I’ve included below).
As we can see, Batman: Arkham Knight looks absolutely gorgeous with this Reshade. The colours really pop with this mod, and everything looks better than its vanilla version. Not to say that the vanilla version looks bad, but this modded version is one or several steps better.
What’s really funny here is that Batman: Arkham Knight with this Ray Tracing Reshade mod can compete with modern-day triple-A games. Seriously, it’s amazing witnessing older games looking this good on newer hardware.
Enjoy the video!

Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
