Bloodborne feature-2

Bloodborne looks cool as a top-down game in Unreal Engine 5

Now here is something really cool. For the past year, Maxime Foulquier has been working on a remake of Bloodborne in Unreal Engine 5. Although that project looked promising, Foulquier has basically stopped working on it due to fear or a copyright claim. However, yesterday, he shared a video, showcasing Bloodborne as a top-down game.

Contrary to his fan remake of Bloodborne in UE5, this project is currently in active development. And, as you will see, it looks really cool.

My guess is that it’s easier to replace assets in this top-down game in case Sony sends him a C&D letter. And, let’s be realistic here. If this video goes viral, Sony will immediately take it down.

In a really weird way, this top-down take on Bloodborne looks great. I’d never imagined Bloodborne as a top-down title. However, here we are with a video that makes it look cool.

I haven’t played Bloodborne so I’m not 100% certain about whether or not the gameplay/movement mechanics are similar to the original game. At first glance, they do look similar. However, the movement seems a bit faster here. At least in my eyes. The dash also seems to be more effective.

Anyway, there is currently no ETA on when this fan game will come out. It looks cool, though, so we’ll be sure to keep an eye on it.

Speaking of Bloodborne, PC gamers can finally enjoy it via the PS4 emulator, shadPS4. Although emulation is not 100% perfect, you can play it from start to finish.

Just yesterday, we shared a video showing Bloodborne running with 100fps at 4K. Moreover, the latest version of shadPS4 has fixed some really annoying audio issues.

There are also two HD Texture Packs that you can download and use with shadPS4. The first pack overhauls numerous textures, whereas the second one focuses on armors.

Enjoy and stay tuned for more!
