Modder ‘SGtMarkIV’ has released a new developer diary video for the next version of Brutal Doom, showcasing some of the new features that will be included in it. Brutal Doom version 2.1 will feature two new guns, as well as brand new water physics effects.
Brutal Doom version 2.1 will feature a system that will try to emulate water physics effects using low-poly 3D models to simulate water ripples whenever the player walks or jumps on over liquid surfaces. And to be honest, it looks really, really cool.
Brutal Doom version 2.1 will also come with the Map Enhancement script. Via this script, players will be able to enhance the game’s maps with more objects, making them look more realistic and populated than before. In the video, SGtMarkIV showcased destructible 3D windows and lamps that can be placed via this script, as well as weather effects.
Enjoy!

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
