Moses Saintfleur, 3D artist at CyberConnect2 Montreal, has shared a video showing a re-imagined environment from the cancelled Fable 4 game in Unreal Engine 4. This video showcases the creation of this level from its starting to the final stages, and will give you a small glimpse at what a new Fable could look in Unreal Engine 4.
It is rumoured that Microsoft may announce a new Fable game for its platforms (presumably for Xbox One or Project Scarlett and the PC) in the near future. Last month, there were some rumours suggesting a possible E3 2019 reveal, however Microsoft did not announce anything at all during that gaming event.
Over the past few months, Saintfleur has shared some interesting videos that passed under our radar. One of them shows an environment inspired by Bethesda’s Fallout 76 in Unreal Engine 4.
What’s pretty cool about this is that this “fan” environment looks better than the original one. Fallout 76 is still using the Creation Engine – which was based on the Gamebryo Engine – and is really dated for today’s standards. As such, it was to be expected that a more powerful engine – like Unreal Engine 4 – can produce better visuals.
Unfortunately, and contrary to some other Unreal Engine 4 projects, Saintfleur has not made these maps/levels available for download. Still, we are pretty sure that some of you may find them interesting.
Enjoy!

Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
