A couple of days ago, Flurdeh shared a video, showcasing Dark Souls 3 with an isometric camera viewpoint. As such, this video will give you an idea of what an isometric version of this action RPG could look like.
What’s really cool here is that Dark Souls 3 looks better – visually – via an isometric camera. By pulling back the camera, the game does no longer look blurry (due to some of its low-res textures). Furthermore, it retains its amazing original art style. My only gripe with this video is the somehow aggressive DOF that Flurdeh has used. Other than that, this video looks really cool.
This isn’t the first time that Flurdeh has showcased a game with an isometric camera. Back in January, we shared some videos showing Red Dead Redemption 2, Skyrim, Fallout New Vegas, and Cyberpunk 2077 with this isometric trick. And last month, the YouTuber showcased Elden Ring & Final Fantasy 7 Remake with an isometric camera.
For those wondering, there aren’t any mods that can enable such a thing. So no, you cannot play and experience the aforementioned games with an isometric camera.
Enjoy!
