Beyond Dreams has shared a video, showcasing Dead Space Remake with Reshade Ray Tracing running at 8K/60fps on an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090.
In order to get playable framerates, the YouTuber used DLSS 3. So yeah, for those who want to nitpick, this isn’t Native 8K. Still, it looks better than Native 4K thanks to DLSS 3’s AI-powered upscaling tech.
To enhance the game’s visuals, Beyond Dreams used Complete RT. Complete RT is a Reshade Ray Tracing Mod. Its latest version uses an efficient and effective method called Spatial Reuse. According to its creator, this method is heavily inspired by ReSTIR GI. This new feature can help you increase details in your lighting and shadows while keeping a relatively low performance overhead.
The following video packs a number of comparison scenes. As such, it can give you an idea of the improvements this mod brings to the table.
To be honest, I wasn’t impressed by the RTGI that this Reshade Mod adds to this game. This could be due to the limited amount of lights that Dead Space Remake has. That, or its artists did a wonderful job at baking its lighting.
The biggest change I saw was the removal of color grading. This can completely change the art style of the game though. So, it will be up to you to decide which version looks better.
Sadly, Complete RT is behind a Patreon wall. As such, most of you won’t be able to download and try it. That’s a bummer but hey, it is what it is.
Speaking of 8K, you may also be interested in these other videos from some other triple-A games. For instance, here are Just Cause 3, GTA 5 and Crysis 3 running in 8K. You can also find The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and Skyrim in 8K. Let’s also not forget the 8K videos for Red Dead Redemption 2, Batman Arkham Knight, Battlefield 1 & Metal Gear Solid 5, as well as Diablo 3, Battlefield Bad Company 2, COD: Modern Warfare, RIDE 4, Halo Remaster, Forza Horizon 5, The Witcher 3, Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Monster Hunter Rise and Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.
Enjoy!
