Level Infinite and TiMi Studio Group have just released a new CG trailer for Delta Force: Hawk Ops. And, at least in my opinion, this is a completely pointless trailer.
Delta Force: Hawk Ops promises to capture the spirit of the FPS Godfather whilst bringing it right up to date with all the very latest (and near future) technology. Or at least that’s what the developers claim. This will be a free-to-play multiplayer game that will be released on PC, consoles and smartphones.
Now you’d expect TiMi Studio Group to focus on its gameplay mechanics. You know, something to win over all the Delta Force fans who still believe that this will be an “MTX quick cash grab”. And instead of a lengthy gameplay trailer, we get a CG trailer. Seriously, how out of touch with your core audience can you be to release this CG trailer?
Ironically, the first trailer for Delta Force: Hawk Ops did more harm than good. That trailer made this Delta Force game feel like a mix of Call of Duty with Black Hawk Down. And no, that’s not what the classic Delta Force games were.
There is currently no ETA on when Delta Force: Hawk Ops will come out. And I’m certain that if you are a die-hard DF fan, you won’t be bothered with this. Because from what we’ve seen, this is a COD clone with a Delta Force skin and not a true Delta Force game.
Stay tuned for more!

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
