16-bit fans, get ready for a treat. Yesterday, two amazing trailers were released for Cleared Hot and Under The Island. These trailers were not part of the Summer Game Fest 2024 show, and we believe they deserve their own spotlight. So, let’s take a look at them.
Cleared Hot is a top-down helicopter shooter with unscripted physics and light tactical elements. This game is heavily inspired by the 16-bit classic, Desert Strike. In Cleared Hot, you’ll shoot, dodge, move your troops around the battlefield, and pick up just about anything with your rope and electro-magnet.
If you loved Desert Strike, you should definitely watch the trailer for Cleared Hot. It looks awesome. And while you can Wishlist it on Steam, there is currently no ETA on when it will come out.
Do note that Cleared Hot has nothing in common with Megacopter: Blades of the Goddess. For those unaware, Megacopter: Blades of Goddess is another game that is heavily inspired by Desert Strike & Choplifter.
On the other hand, Under The Island is a 2D action RPG that is heavily inspired by The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. In this game, players will encounter monsters, solve puzzles, and unleash the joy of exploration and discovering secrets as they journey through its dangerous and mysterious landscape.
If you are a fan of the classic SNES Zelda game, you should watch the trailer.
These two games look so lovely. As a big fan of the 16-bit consoles, I’m really interested in both of them. Oh, and speaking of 16-bit-inspired games, I also suggest checking out the new Mighty Morphin Power Rangers game.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!
