Piranha Bytes has released a comparison video between the 2016 and the 2017 versions of its upcoming action RPG, ELEX. From the looks of it, and contrary to other developers, Piranha Bytes appears to have improved the game’s visuals. However, we do have to say that the 2016 version looks more like an alpha. And to be honest, I can’t believe that Piranha Bytes would ever release a game looking THAT bad.
ELEX is a handcrafted action role-playing experience set in a post-apocalyptic science-fantasy universe. The game puts players into a huge, seamless open world full of original characters, mutated creatures, deep moral choices and powerful action. Or at least that’s what the development team claims.
THQ Nordic has sent us a review code for it. As such, we will – hopefully – have a PC Performance Analysis article for it at launch.
It’s also worth noting that ELEX won’t have any DLCs. Or at least that’s what Björn Pankratz, project director at Piranha Bytes, claimed back in September.
ELEX releases on October 17th!

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
