IGN has shared a video, showing 11 minutes of gameplay footage from Konami’s new Contra game, Contra: Rogue Corps. This video will also give you a glimpse at the game’s co-op mode, so be sure to watch it if you are fans of the franchise.
Contra Rogue Corps is a twin stick, third-person action game drawing upon its roots in fast and focused combat. Nobuya Nakazato, the director of CONTRA III: THE ALIEN WARS and CONTRA: HARD CORPS, is also behind this project. Contra Rogue Corps promises to feature enormous crazed enemies, over-the-top violence, and a cast of diverse playable characters.
Players will be able to choose from 4 diverse characters with their own unique skills and specialty attacks. Players can determine weapons load out, customise and craft unique weapons.
The game will feature a deep single player Story campaign mode chock-full of challenging missions among hordes of enemies. Players can go solo or group with up to 4 friends or random players online in multi-player. The game wil also allow players to create custom matches (private mode) for 2v2, 3v3, 4v4 or 1vs4 players.
Contra Rogue Corps currently targets a September 26th release.
Enjoy!
