The team behind the GoldenEye 007 N64 fan remake, GoldenEye 64, has released the first gameplay video for it. This video shows GoldenEye 25 gameplay from the start of Silo up to the satellite room.
GoldenEye 25 is a fan-driven mission to remake GoldenEye 64 single player in Unreal Engine 4. This will be a free game and the team plans to release it in August 2022 on the PC.
Do note that this is a WIP build. As such, the video does not represent the quality of the final game. That is of course if the team manages to complete it before receiving any C&D letter.
As we can clearly see, GoldenEye 25 is still in an early development stage. The enemy reactions are not as great as those featured in the original game, and there is only one enemy 3D model. Still, its environments and the graphics, in general, already look great. GoldenEye 25 has a lot of potential so we really hope that the team will keep working on it.
In order to capture this gameplay footage, the team used an Intel Core i7-8700 with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 and 32GB of RAM.
Lastly, there aren’t any plans right now to release this playable demo of GoldenEye 25 to the public.
Enjoy the gameplay video and stay tuned for more!
