At Gamescom 2019, THQ Nordic presented a demo build of the new Commanche game. Gamersryde was able to capture some gameplay footage, showing 11 minutes from it. As such, we strongly suggest watching the video if you are fans of the old Commanche games.
In case you weren’t aware of, Commanche will not feature a single-player mode. As such, this video showcases its team-based online multiplayer mode. Moreover, it will also give you an idea of the in-game visuals you can expect from it.
Commanche will be using Unreal Engine 4 and will enter its Early Access phase in early 2020. Now while the game uses UE4, it will not be exclusive to the Epic Games Store. In fact, its Early Access phase will launch on Steam.
Comanche will begin its early access campaign and lift off as a modern, team-based online multiplayer helicopter shooter. Besides your Comanche, you will also control a small, armed drone for close-quarters combat and special duties. Each Comanche/drone setup will have its own strengths and weaknesses and fulfill an important role in the objective-based team-vs-team encounters.
As said, Comanche is a team-based online multiplayer helicopter shooter set in the near future. In this game, players will engage with their team of 4 pilots in intense helicopter dogfights and sneaky close-quarter drone combat to attack or defend high-value targets in areas of difficult access. Players will choose from an array of Comanche and drone configurations, and utilize their strengths to their tactical advantage.
Enjoy!

Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
