GSC GameWorld has released the first official in-engine trailer for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2. STALKER 2 will be using Unreal Engine 4, and promises to retain the atmosphere of the first three S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games.
The main inspiration for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 is the original trilogy (Shadow of Chernobyl, Clear Sky and Call of Pripyat). Thus, STALKER 2 will be the most ambitious game from GSC GameWorld, and its main feature will be its unique atmosphere.
For the first time in the series, the Zone will be yours to explore as a post-apocalyptic open-world. Moreover, it will be one of the biggest ones to date. The game will also feature A-Life 2.0 which will control the state of the world and the behavior of characters and mutants.
As GSC GameWorld stated:
“With S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2, we want every player to have a unique playthrough. It will take much more than just A-Life 2.0 to do that, as you are the author of your story. Putting aside the scale, the decisions you make will cause not only short-term outcomes, but influence the world itself. We are crafting an epic, branching story culminating in lots of different endings. You’ll have to make tough choices regularly — and be brave enough to face the consequences.”
Enjoy the trailer!
