343 Industries held a livestream yesterday, showing Halo: Reach Firefight running on the PC. The game’s new PC flight will focus on this mode and from the looks of it, this highly anticipated PC flighting is right around the corner.
Firefight is a solo or co-op campaign mode where up to four players can fight against waves of Covenant attackers. This mode allows players to battle in multiple environments based on campaign maps. Moreover, the game allows players to fight on foot or in vehicles, and against increasingly difficult waves of Covenant attackers.
Not only that, but Halo: Reach’s Firefight has a large number of customization options and new features. For example, Matchmaking support is available, as well as many new game modes such as Generator Defense and the Versus Mode.
The PC gameplay footage starts at around 33:00. Thus, make sure to skip everything else if you are solely interesting in it.
Unfortunately, 343 Industries has not announced yet when the next flighting will launch. Still, and given the fact that Firefight appears to be working fine, it could launch next week. And if that doesn’t happen, it’s almost certain that it will launch next month.
Enjoy!
