Epic Games and Remedy just dropped a neat recap of the first Alan Wake game inside Fortnite, called Alan Wake: Flashback. Alan Wake: Flashback is like a mini-game split into three episodes. This will get you up to speed with all the spooky stuff that went down in Remedy’s horror game.
In case you didn’t know, Alan Wake is a game that came out in 2010. The game follows thriller novelist Alan Wake who’s on a quest to figure out what happened to his wife when they were on vacation in a fictional town called Bright Falls. However, things get super weird as events from his book start happening for real.
Now what’s really cool about Alan Wake: Flashback is that players can use their flashlight so that they can access new areas. Not only that but there are some cool retro cut-scenes, featuring the 3D character models from the 2010 game.
On October 27th, Remedy is bringing out Alan Wake 2. Once again, players will follow the writer’s adventures. However, things will get a bit scarier. Players will assume the role of both Alan Wake and a new FBI agent named Saga Anderson.
Alan Wake 2 will be also among the first games that will take advantage of DLSS 3.5. DLSS 3.5 will introduce Ray Reconstruction and promises to offer better visuals in games that use Ray Tracing/Path Tracing. And, as we’ve already reported, Alan Wake 2 will be fully path-traced on PC.
