Adrian Chmielarz, co-founder of People Can Fly, has shared some gameplay footage from their cancelled horror action-adventure game, Come Midnight. According to Chmielarz, Come Midnight was a action-adventure pulp that mixed the worlds of Raymond Chandler and H.P. Lovecraft.
The game’s story was about a private detective able to communicate with the dead. Below you can find an overview of the game.
Come Midnight was in development in 2005-2006. Moreover, People Can Fly was planning to use the following demo in order to show its development progress to THQ. So yeah, keep in mind that while watching it. Obviously the game now looks dated, however, in 2005 Chmielarz claimed that it looked fantastic.
Again, this is an internal demo, and People Can Fly was never planning to release it to the public. Thus, everything is janky, buggy, unfinished, full of placeholders, and highly unpolished.

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
