Two weeks ago, we informed you about a possible remaster of Ghostbusters: The Video Game. And today, we are happy to report that this remaster is real, is developed by Saber Interactive, and will release later this year.
Ghostbusters: The Video Game is a 2009 action adventure game based on the Ghostbusters media franchise that was developed by Terminal Reality and was released in 2009. This Ghostbusters game is said to be a sequel to the second Ghostbusters movie (it is often described as “what the third GB movie should have been”) and canon to the timeline of the original movies.
A reveal trailer for this remaster has been released that you can view below. Now while this trailer is from Sony’s channel (which lists only PS4), we are pretty sure that this is a multi-platform release (meaning that it will also come to Xbox One and the PC).
My guess is that Saber Interactive will issue an official press release soon, so we’ll be sure to update this story once we get our hands on it. Until then, enjoy the following trailer!
UPDATE:
Saber Interactive and Mad Dog Games confirmed that Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered is coming to the PC, however it will be exclusive to the Epic Games Store.

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
