Earlier this month, we informed you about the early access release of the NaturalVision: Evolved mod for Grand Theft Auto 5. This mod introduces a lot of modern-day graphical features to Rockstar’s open-world game. And, as we can see in the following comparison video, it feels like a next-gen remaster.
Created by YouTube’s GTA Lab, the following video compares the vanilla version with the modded one. Thus, we can finally see in action the graphical improvements that this mod brings to the table. And, as you will immediately notice, these improvements are easily noticeable.
NaturalVision Evolved is a work-in-progress visual overhaul mod that features numerous changes. This mod aims to improve the environmental weathers, lighting system, ambient colors, and tonemapping. It will also enhance world textures, building models and more.
Furthermore, the mod introduces screen-space ray traced global illumination. Additionally, it has improved screen-space reflections, better building reflections and new emissive lights.
Unfortunately, there is no public version of NaturalVision: Evolved as of yet. Still, we’ll be sure to let you know when there will be one. Until then, enjoy the following comparison video!

Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
