Modder ‘PegaXing’ has released a new trailer for the upcoming total conversion mod for HL2 that is inspired by Half-Life 2: Episode Three, Half-Life Interlude.
Half-Life Interlude will attempt to recreate the events of HL2: Episode 3. The mod is based on Marc Laidlaw’s Epistle 3. In Interlude, Gordon Freeman awakens amidst the wreckage of a downed helicopter as the Combine is ruthlessly hunting him down.
From what I’ve seen so far, this is the most ambitious Half-Life 2: Episode 3 Mod that is currently in development. Moreover, PegaXing plans to release a demo for it really soon. In case you’re wondering, there is no ETA on when this will happen. As soon as it comes out, though, I’ll be sure to let you know.
Speaking of mods that are inspired by Half-Life 2: Episode 3, you can download a demo for Half-Life: Return to Stratigrad. Half-Life: Return to Stratigrad takes place after Half-Life 3 Epistle. On the other hand, Project Borealis and Boreal Alyph seem to be dead. Both of them have not received any updates in the past couple of years.
Until Half-Life: Interlude comes out, I suggest checking out these other mods for Half-Life 2. There’s a VR Mod that’s a blast to play with. We really suggest giving it a try. You can also grab Entropy: Zero 2, a mod that comes with a whole new story across seven exciting chapters. And if you’re a fan of Opposing Force, there’s a demo for a fan-made sequel called Half-Life: Through The City. Lastly, keep an eye out for two super cool mods in the works, Half-Life 2 Path Tracing and Half-Life 2 Remastered.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!
