The team behind the amazing Playstation 3 emulator, RPCS3, has released a brand new version and YouTube’s ‘Emulators for PC’ has shared two videos showing Heavy Rain and Lollipop Chainsaw running on it.
Emulators for PC used an Intel Xeon e3-1240 V2 at 3.6 GHz and as we can see, Heavy Rain is not smooth on that particular CPU. Still, we are pretty sure that most high-end CPUs will be able to offer a 30fps experience. Not only that, but it looks like there are no graphical glitches; at least not in the game’s prologue.
We are also witnessing a similar situation with Lollipop Chainsaw. While there doesn’t appear to be any graphical glitches, the game needs a more powerful CPU than the Intel Xeon e3-1240 V2 in order to be played with constant 30fps.
As a bonus, we’ve included a video showing Persona 5 running on the previous version of RPCS3. What’s really cool here though is that all of these three games (that never came out on the PC) appear to be playable right now on this Playstation 3 emulator.
Enjoy!

Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
