Silent Hill 2 Remake official screenshots-2

Here are 27 minutes of gameplay from Silent Hill 2 Remake

VGC has shared a video, showcasing 27 minutes of uninterrupted gameplay footage from Silent Hill 2 Remake. These are the first 27 minutes of the game, so avoid them if you don’t want to experience the game for yourselves. Additionally, Konami shared the official story trailer for Silent Hill 2 Remake, which you can also find below.

Silent Hill 2 Remake will allow players to experience a master-class in psychological horror on the latest hardware with chilling visuals and visceral sounds. The devs have confirmed that it will support Ray Tracing and other cutting-edge technical enhancements. Plus, you can expect new immersive soundscapes.

The remake will feature larger environments than the original title. As such, players will explore locations and buildings that were once inaccessible. Moreover, Bloober Team has added some new areas to the game.

Silent Hill 2 Remake will also have an updated combat system. Players will be able to avoid attacks with carefully timed dodges, aim down sights, and more, making monster encounters more engaging and nerve-wracking than ever.

Now as I’ve already said, Silent Hill 2 Remake will be using Unreal Engine 5. In October 2022, Bloober Team also shared its initial PC system requirements. According to them, an NVIDIA RTX2080 would be able to run it at 1080p/High/30fps. Since those PC specs were posted two years ago, I’m curious to see whether Konami will update them. For the time being, Steam still lists the same PC requirements.

Konami will release Silent Hill 2 Remake on October 8th.

Enjoy and stay tuned for more!
